It’s been a year like none other with online classes, physically distanced events and limited in-person interaction on campus, but through it all, the best and brightest of IU Indianapolis have still made their mark. This year’s Elite 50 was recently announced by IU Indianapolis.
“Our Elite 50 graduate and professional students at IU Indianapolis represent the very best of our campus as students, as leaders, and as engaged members of many different communities,” said IU Indianapolis Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar. “Their creative ideas, diverse talents and professional experiences are exactly what our campus needs to grow stronger and more vibrant.”
The purpose of the Elite 50, which began in 2015, is to recognize and reward achievement outside the classroom among IU Indianapolis’s more than 8,000 graduate and professional student population. The Elite 50 represent the top one half of one percent of the graduate and professional student body at IU Indianapolis.
While the honorees excel in the classroom, it’s their work in areas such as campus leadership, scholarly work and community engagement that cement their status as elite.
