Preventing identity-based violence starts with us

Tips for supporting friends
If you’re unsure how to support someone who has experienced harm, start by:
- Believing them and listening. Silence is okay.
- Offering to connect them with on-campus resources.
- Thanking them for sharing with you.

Hear what our student leaders had to say about Sexual Assault Prevention Month
"Our university creates a safe, open space where everyone has access to resources and support. It fosters a sense of community and makes people feel comfortable here."
"Supporting others means actively listening and truly understanding their experiences, being mindful of what they’re saying, and creating space for them to express their struggles."
"Your voice matters! Connect with student leaders, speak up about what’s important to you, and help shape change—starting right where you live."
