Heather Brake joined the Division of Student Affairs at IU Indianapolis in April 2024 as the Associate Dean of Students for Student Conduct and Advocacy. Prior to coming to IU Indianapolis, she served as the Director of Student Conduct at Arkansas State University. Brake has over 15 years of progressive leadership experience working in student conduct, housing and residence life, emergency and crisis response, student involvement, and new student programs in a variety of roles at Arkansas State University, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and Southeast Missouri State University.
