As parents, family members, and supporters of current students, we realize you will walk alongside your Jag during these formative college years. As your student embarks on their journey in Indianapolis and looks to you for support, know that we’re here to support you.
Our campus’ 9th annual Family Weekend will be held Sept. 27–29, 2024. The 16th annual Regatta, IU Indianapolis’s canoe race on the canal and homecoming event, will be held Sept. 28, and all families and community members are invited to attend.
Family Weekend is free to attend, though some events and activities will have a small fee. How to register for those events and additional details will be shared later this year.
Family members in our family council focus on three things: engaging with our campus, supporting our campus and students, and experiencing life in Indianapolis.
Council members must be a family member of a current, full-time IU Indianapolis student.

Attendance policy: Members who miss two consecutive meetings will be removed from the IU Indianapolis Family Council. Attendance exceptions may be made for those who live a long distance from campus.
If you are interested in serving on the IU Indianapolis Family Council, applications will be available until Aug. 30, 2024. All questions regarding the application and council can be directed to Tonya Hall at tmcollie@iu.edu.
