As part of the IU Indianapolis 2030 Strategic Plan, the Wellness Coalition was charged with creating a new framework for how we “do” wellness at the university—developing a unified and comprehensive approach to holistic wellness. The multi-dimensional framework serves as an integrated approach to campus wellness for students and employees.
Through listening sessions, feedback, workshops, and a retreat, we developed our seven elements of wellness that each intersect with three layers of influence. Our model is immersed within guiding principles that include diversity, equity, and inclusion.
A special thanks to Indiana Collegiate Action Network (ICAN) for providing grant funds that made the development of this framework possible.
