Testing Lab

You must schedule to take each test/quiz with AES at least 48 business hours prior to your exam.

Using testing accommodations

If you would like to schedule an upcoming test/quiz with us, please review the guidelines below. You must have already submitted a semester request in Accommodate to use AES testing services.

1. Login to Accommodate. Under the navigation panel, click Testing Request.
2. At the bottom of the screen, click New Booking Request.
3. Select your class, ignore the rest of the first form, and click Check Availability.
4. To schedule outside of your classroom hours:
   1. Online tests: Initially, the system only shows options for when your class meets. Please select the date closest to when you would like to test and Accommodate will open a form for you to fill out. Within that form, there is a portion where you can indicate a different date and time.
   2. Paper tests: Please get prior approval from your instructor to test outside of class time. Then when you are scheduling in Accommodate, the system initially will only show options for when your class meets. Please select the date that your class is testing.
5. Fill out the second form with as much information as you can.
6. You will get an email after submitting the request, and another one after we approve it using testing information from your instructor.

Scheduling tests for final exams

Please schedule all final examinations for the AES Testing Lab no less than seven (7) days prior to the start of finals.

The AES Testing Lab provides in-person proctoring for IU Indianapolis students who have testing accommodations. Due to the high influx of student requests for accommodations prior to finals week, AES cannot guarantee academic accommodations if you register two weeks before the final exam. Because of the Testing Lab’s hours:

• You cannot schedule a test for the weekend or public holiday (finals are an exception).
• You cannot schedule a test before 9 a.m. (finals are an exception).
• You cannot schedule a test to end after 5 p.m. (finals are an exception).
