Hello! I’m McKenzie Altman. I grew up in Indiana and moved to Indianapolis at 16, where Ibecame the first in my family to attend college. After earning my associate's degree, I took a break to handle the challenges of living on my own. A decade later, I resumed my education with renewed focus and graduated in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in public health from IU Indianapolis. Earning highest distinction honors, the Outstanding Student Award, and being named a Chancellor's Scholar showed me that success in college doesn’t have to follow a traditional path.
