USG plans and hosts a variety of signature events throughout the academic year that focus on professional development and networking opportunities, making campus welcoming and inclusive, and recognizing the work of our student organizations.

Student Organization Awards
Let’s celebrate and recognize students, advisors, student organization programs, and registered student organizations. These awards highlight the significant impacts our student orgs have made on the social, interpersonal, and professional development of Jaguars as well as major contributions to IU Indy over the last year.
Nominations for the 2025 Student Organization Awards are due on March 9. Award winners will be recognized on Monday, April 14, 6–8 p.m. in Campus Center 450.
Student Leadership Conference

This event promotes networking between student leaders and student organizations while strengthening leadership skills. Students have an opportunity to hear from a keynote speaker, engage with a panel of Student Affairs professionals, attend workshops focused on building leadership skills, and more.

Unity Brunch

Through this brunch, USG gathers suggestions and opinions from attendees on what the group can do to make campus more welcoming and inclusive, while also encouraging collaborations between departments at IU Indy.
