Know Your Status Testing Events

IU Indianapolis Health and Wellness Promotion organizes monthly testing events on the first Thursday of the month during the academic year in the Campus Center atrium.

Screening and testing are provided by community partners. While the event is held in a public place to increase visibility and decrease the stigma associated with sexual health, all identifying information and testing records are kept strictly confidential.

All services provided are free. The process takes about 15 minutes, no appointment needed. Insurance, ID cards, or exams are not required. Testing is available for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV. Attendees will receive confidential results by phone.

More than just testing

Know Your Status events are like a mini health fair each month. Visit exhibitors to learn about local resources and get free giveaways. Participate in a hands-on Naloxone nasal spray training, create your own locking pill bottle, talk with a health and wellness coach, and learn about on- and off-campus services to support your well-being.
