As of January 23, 2025, our new resident housing portal is now live! This new system simplifies the application, payment, and roommate selection processes for prospective residents. While we are excited about these improvements, we are still ironing out a few wrinkles and value your feedback for improvement.
Remember that IU housing assignments are not done on a first-come, first-served basis. All students who complete their housing application by mid-March are in the same priority window and are assigned in the first round of assignments. This allows us to collect student information and preferences and then make the best possible assignment for living on campus.
If you are experiencing challenges with your application, please check the following:
- You have been fully admitted to IU Indianapolis for the Fall 2025 semester. Students not admitted will not be able to view the housing application.
- You have completed your to-do’s and do not have holds on your Student Center dashboard under "My Information."
- You have waited up to 48 hours for your IU email to be authenticated and your admission status to be confirmed. Once admitted, there is a processing period for our university systems to update your information.
Lastly, the application for students who live on campus and wish to continue for the 2025–26 year is now closed. The available application is only for new, incoming students. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance your campus living experience.
