Hall Council

As part of the Hall Council executive board, you will:

1. Put together social and educational programming for on-campus residents.
2. Work with Housing and Residence Life staff to address comments and concerns residents have about their living experience. 
3. Maintain an active and flexible student government.
4. Enhance the residential experience culturally, socially, and academically.

Students who participate on the Hall Council executive board can apply for and attend regional and national conferences with all expenses paid. There are conferences in the fall, spring, and summer.

Open positions

All residents, regardless of year and class standing, are encouraged to run for an executive board position. The available positions and responsibilities are:

• President: Chairs the Hall Council executive board and facilitates meetings.
• Vice president: Serves as the USG senator for their Hall Council and oversees advocacy initiatives.
• Operations coordinator: Performs administrative duties for their Hall Council including expense tracking, keeping meeting minutes, creating shopping lists, and reservations.
• Programming coordinator: Oversees the planning and coordination of social and educational events.
• Engagement coordinator: Creates marketing materials for initiatives and coordinates photo and video coverage of events.
