Finding brotherhood

All of our members are 1st-generation students, and I think that’s what unites us. Through my experiences with the fraternity, I’ve been able to help the Latino community, learn new leadership skills and create everlasting friendships.

We have a chapter in Bloomington, and I would say we are very close. I have made great memories with great people. I really like to surround myself with like-minded individuals and joining has been a great way to make those connections.

For anyone thinking about joining FSL, I know it can be scary talking to new people, but we love meeting you all! My advice is to talk to the members in the org you are wanting to join, get to know them and see if your values align with theirs.

Another thing I would do is go to their events and start showing you are interested. Even if you go to the event alone, I know you will be able to meet someone new and possibly create a new friendship.

Having your friends, family and people from campus cheer you on is truly one of the best feelings when you join Fraternity and Sorority Life.
